Playground time!

In the Alphas, playground is a valuable part of our everyday routine.
During playground time children have the opportunity to interact with students from other classrooms in the same year group.  They also practice taking turns,
sharing and negotiating roles.
Playground is the place where children can run, ride their tricycles and exercise
their gross motor skills and space awareness.

Have a look at some of fun moments in the playground this past week.

Making friends in Alpha

                         Making friends

When children start school their social life is enhanced. It is the time they learn to interact with others and forge friendships, which will bring them pleasure, comfort  and  important opportunities to learn and develop in a social world. Children will also learn to deal with frustrations and distressful moments and go about resolving their conflicts. It is a school of life!
Friends can help children feel good about themselves, help the child adapt more easily to early childhood environments and help the child build self confidence.

Music lessons in the Alphas

Music in the Alphas

Children at this age have a natural interest for music.
Music has a positive influence for young children.

Music ignites all areas of child development: intellectual, social and emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. For children and adults, music helps strengthen memory skills.

In addition to the other benefits of music, it also provides us with joy. Just think about listening to a good song on the car radio with the window down on a beautiful day. That's joy.

Make believe

It's very important to stimulate children's imagination!

Role playing is a wonderful way to interact with their friends and have a fun time together!

Throughout the year, children have been exploring by using different props and resources from their classroom.
